In May of 2025, the Bishops of The United Methodist Church unveiled a new vision statement
for our denomination. The existing mission statement and brand promise remain, strengthened
by this new vision (read more about this here).

As we welcome new people into our midst and discern what is next for our local congregation,
it is important to root ourselves in our shared identity, mission, and vision as United
Methodists: to remember what sets us apart and what brings us together. This season, we will
look to our sacred text for grounding, our founder for wisdom, our episcopal leaders for
direction, our neighbors for specificity, and to one another for courage and care.
